Trouble In Tampa Bay for Tom Brady?

Tom Brady has only three touchdown passes to start this 2022 season. There is no doubt that Brady has not looked like himself and we have seen more frustration on the sidelines than we have positivity so far. What is the reason? Is it the problems he has been having with Gisele? Is Tom Brady finally starting to decline football wise?

It has been noted that Tom Brady and Gisele are having some marital problems. She clearly wanted him to retire and focus on their family. That is easier said than done when you are Tom Brady. He still has the competitive drive to want to win and get another Super Bowl. This is one of the most competitive and passionate athletes we have ever seen. It is never going to be easy for Tom Brady to walk away from football. 

Gisele has clearly stated that her frustrations were with the way that he handled the retirement situation. His retirement was leaked before Brady officially announced it, and then it wasn’t long after that he decided he wasn’t going to stay retired. This sparked some tension between the two and especially caused Gisele to become upset. 

Tom Brady has certainly looked different this year. He seems to have lost some weight and has honestly not looked as sharp as he normally does. It is early in the season, so I try not to overreact with the shorter pre-season where most starters have seen any action. But this is Tom Brady and every single thing he does is magnified under a microscope. The big question is, do his recent struggles have anything to do with his football ability or where his head is at mentally with all of the distractions? We all know the saying that a happy wife equals a happy life. This does not seem like the case with the decision Tom Brady made to come back and play his 23rd season. 

Luckily, we are only 3 games into the season and Tampa Bay is 2-1 despite some of the struggles we have seen. If anybody has the ability to turn a distraction into a way to motivate himself and his teammates, it is Tom Brady. However, if Tom ends up having a bad year and the Buccaneers fall short of their ultimate goal, then the question will be, was this all worth causing issues with Gisele just to end your career in disappointment. That is definitely not the way Tom Brady wants to go out. This season is a LONG way from being over and this will continue to be a topic of discussion if Tom Brady continues to show any struggles, or if the Buccaneers end up on any kind of losing streak. The best way to eliminate this topic being brought up as frequently as it has, is for Tom Brady to go out and start lighting the defense up!  Will trouble in Tampa Bay for Tom Brady continue?
