Sexist posts by Kamala Harris’ new senior campaign adviser Kamau Marshall resurface
Vice President Kamala Harris’ newly hired senior campaign adviser has previously published numerous online posts mocking women and homosexuals.
Kamau Marshall, who was hired by Harris’ campaign earlier this week, apologized for his offensive posts in 2020 and has reportedly conducted a digital purge in recent days.
“Even though I like a power woman… she has to know her place… That means I am [sic] “the #pants… right,” Marshall tweeted on December 24, 2011.
In another 2011 post on the site now known as X, he wrote: “As long as my wife looks good and turns me on, she can have pretty much anything she wants from me.”
“Are all women crazy??? Lol, no offense, ijs [I’m just saying],” Marshall tweeted in 2012.
Later that year, he argued, “Nice guys finish last because they make sure their girl comes first.”
Then, in August 2013, Marshall tweeted that it was “unattractive when a girl doesn’t act classy and doesn’t know how to control her emotions.”
That post was followed by this Twitter statement from 2012: “I only watch and talk to the CLASSEST women.”
Fox News first reported on Marshall’s questionable tweets in 2020, noting that he subsequently deleted many of the offensive posts.
Social media analytics website Social Blade shows that Marshall has deleted more than 2,200 tweets since Tuesday.
Fox News found that Marshall also frequently used homophobic slurs in social media posts.
“Wood wakes everyone up… nope homo but too many memories. #Bullying is bad smdh lmao,” he wrote in 2010.
Harris’ campaign adviser also said that men who spend a lot of time with women want to be feminine.
“Bro if you see a guy around women all day it’s more than likely he wants to be one or is very feminine #I’mJustTelling,” Marshall tweeted.
His new boss apparently also drew his ire in 2019 after a Democratic primary debate, prompting Marshall to tweet: “Dear Black People: Don’t be black when it suits you. Be black 3365/24-7. Period. Sincerely, a black man.”
The post was highlighted by an Atlantic reporter at the time and then deleted by Marshall.
The professional communications strategist previously served as Joe Biden’s strategic communications director and senior advisor to Education Secretary Miguel Cardona in 2020.
“As someone who values and respects women, it was never and will never be my intention to disrespect women. Period,” Marshall said in a 2020 apology, according to Fox News.
“However, I sincerely apologize to those who may have misread it or who do not know me personally and who may have been offended.”
The Post has reached out to Harris’ team for comment.
