ZLaner unveils a new STEN Warzone loadout that could replace the Owen Gun

Warzone Pro and OpTic member ZLaner has highlighted a STEN loadout that he believes could find a home in the meta in Season 3.

It’s a new era in Warzone, and thanks to the changes to weapon balancing in Season 3, some of the game’s most popular loadouts are being retired.

The game’s best players are already on the hunt for weapons to replace old favorites, and ZLaner thinks they’ve found a viable solution in the STEN.

This version of the STEN is a variant of the most popular melee monster loadout.

The base will likely be familiar to anyone who ran the STEN during Season 2 Reloaded, but there are a few adjustments that make this version stand out.

• Snout: recoil booster
• Barrel: SA 65mm Rapid
• Optics: SA 32s
• underflow: Carver foregrip
• Share: Gwalchmai Para
• Magazine: arson
• Ammunition: 9mm 50 round drum
• Rear handle: Grooved handle
• Advantage 1: Acrobatic
• Advantage 2: Fast

Some notable changes here are the switch to 50 Round Drum and the inclusion of Incendiary magazine via the Extended option.

Both are designed to highlight the gun’s TTK up close, which is where it really shines against the competition anyway.

Unlike the Milano, this isn’t the sort of SMG you use as an AR replacement on Rebirth or as a viable long-range secondary on Caldera.

The STEN is intended for cramped action in tight spaces and delivers spades there.

After trying out this setup on Rebirth Island, Z gave the gun serious praise, even comparing it to the Owen Gun, saying, “I think I like this one better.”

There will certainly be a lot of weapons going in and out of the meta in the first few weeks of the season, but at first glance it certainly looks like this build is going to have staying power.
