Whyte has been a mandatory challenger for the belt for years but had until 6am today to sign the contract after Fury’s co-promoter Frank Warren won the purse strings.
The Londoner was not satisfied as he was entitled to only 20% of the battle money and wanted to renegotiate for a larger share.
But now the champion has announced that the challenger has agreed to go ahead to set up an all-British showdown.
In an Instagram story that Fury posted earlier, he mock his opponents and said, “Oh my God. Dillian Whyte signed for $8 million. What a surprise!
“An absolute idiot. Should this even be a talking point? The man signed a contract, for the biggest payday he will receive in his life.
“Oh my God, my head hurts from all the mind games that Dillian Whyte is playing with me.

“Oh my god. I’m in so much pain. I don’t know if I’m coming or going. My training camp is a mess.”
Fury is going to the gym later, and as he enjoys running alongside fellow heavyweight Parker, he posted another message to Whyte.
He said: “I’m going to absolutely strangle Dillian Whyte like a cheap water balloon and then when I’m done with him, Joe Parker will arrest him because he’s useless, a big hunter. Useless sausages.”
The match will be reported on April 23 at Wembley Stadium and will be Fury’s second title defense after he kept it in the first by knocking out Deontay Wilder last October in their three-part battle.
The Gypsy King last fought on British soil when he defeated Francesco Pianeta at Belfast’s Windsor Park in August 2018.
Meanwhile Whyte has remained silent so far despite Fury’s dissuade and has made no official announcement about the fight except posted a previous workout image captioned ‘work’.
He had his last time in the ring 11 months ago when he avenged his shock defeat to Russian veteran Alexander Povetkin in Gibraltar.
