You wore your headband wrong

A BEAUTY fan has gone viral after revealing what those “tails” on makeup headbands are actually for.

Tayler took to TikTok to share her “PSA” (public announcement) as she explained that she wanted to share the information with fellow makeup wearers.

“If you’re a girl using these headbands, stop scrolling because that’s really important information, ok,” she started.

Tayler went on to explain that she was on TikTok that morning and saw a woman doing her makeup while wearing one of the headbands with the tails up — like bunny ears.

“And there was a girl in the comments that said, ‘Look, no shade, but you realize you shouldn’t wear it like that, right?’ and then she went on to explain how to do it,” she continued.

“And it caught my attention because that’s how I’ve always worn it. And that’s how everyone I see wears them.

“No, that’s not right. She explained it and it makes perfect sense.”

She said that while she always thought they were supposed to be “cute bunny ears,” they definitely aren’t.

“They go on the bottom – at the base of your neck.

“And then you dress it up like normal, pull all your hair back, pull it together like you have low bangs, and then you take these little ears or whatever they are, and you use them to clip your hair back.” , like a ponytail.”

Tayler demonstrated the clever hack on her own hair before adding, “I never knew that information — nobody ever told me that.

“But it makes perfect sense.”

The comments section was quickly flooded with remarks from impressed followers, with one writing, “Tik Tok University strikes again.”

Tayler admitted she was stunned when she saw the hack and couldn't wait to try it for herself

Another added: “So every woman got this wrong?”

“My jaw just dropped lol,” wrote a third, while another agreed, commenting, “Amazing nnnnnnnn.”

Others were quick to point out that the hack only works on some headbands — the ones that have wire in the tails.

Tayler then went to the comments to add some remarks of his own, writing: “I should add – mine doesn’t have actual loops! These have like little wires in them to hold them in place when you bend them!”

She also wrote: “Furthermore, I’m in no way saying you have to wear these a certain way.

“Do what you want, I just thought it was cool.”
