In a short clip on TikTok that went viral with over 230,000 views, Olivera (@skinbyolivera) shared the right routine that will guarantee you a juicy and soft pout.

Although the weather is finally getting warmer, we still get the odd day or two of harsher winds and colder days, leaving us with dry and cracked winter lips.

But if you haven’t noticed a difference in your looks no matter how many tubes of petroleum jelly you’ve gone through, there might be a crucial step you haven’t included in your beauty routine.

According to Olivera, who regularly shares skincare tips with her fanbase, it’s important to prep your lips before reaching for Vaseline – that way you’ll get the most of its properties.

The simple but effective trick, she explained, is to wet your pout — in the clip, she ran her fingers under a jet of water, then tapped her lips.

”Never apply to a dry lip.

“The balm locks in moisture,” Olivera pointed out, claiming it’s the “best tip for keeping lips hydrated all winter long.”

Some thanked and others were skeptical, viewers were divided.
