‘You disappoint me’: Michael Owen stunned by what Berbatov has said about Arsenal striker

Michael Owen and Dimitar Berbatov were at odds over whether Gabriel Martinelli was serious about his assist following Arsenal’s 2-1 win over Nottingham Forest on Saturday.
With two Nottingham Forest players around him, the Arsenal striker tried that old ‘Zidane roulette’ skill on the edge of the box, which then resulted in the ball falling to Eddie Nketiah, who scored the opening goal.
Many wondered if Gabriel Martinelli was serious or not. Former England striker Michael Owen was certain he didn’t mean it and he told ex-Manchester United star Berbatov: “You disappoint me” after saying: “I think he means it.” he went on to narrate The Final Word Premier League Productions (08/14/23 at 10:55 p.m.).
It’s no surprise that Martinelli is trying out such a skill, as he loves to dance with the ball and butt his opponent.
But whether he was serious or not only the player will know and it wouldn’t be a surprise if some people still don’t believe he was serious.
During Berbatov’s Premier League days, he was known for his lithe flair and fascinating skills as he and Owen exchanged thoughts on Martinelli.

“There’s been a lot of discussion about that assist, Berba,” Owen said. “We want you to clear this up. Does he mean this passport or not? I do not think so.”
Berbatov says, “I think he’s serious,” to which Owen replies, “He’s serious? No. Berba, Berba. Come on, Berba!”
The former Tottenham star then added: “Let me look at it from a different angle. But I know he means business. Maybe no passport and he’s lucky.
“But that’s the kind of trick I’ve seen other players do. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t. In this case, I’m pretty sure he means what he’s doing.”
Owen then agreed: “I’m pretty sure he means the trick, but I’m just not sure he means the pass. Enough of that, you let me down.”

Can Martinelli get to the next level?
That’s the aim of the Brazilian striker, whose form in front of goal last season saw him included in his country’s squad for the 2022 World Cup for Qatar.
There’s every chance he’ll become a mainstay of a Brazil side that boasts outstanding strikers, led by Real Madrid superstar Vinicius Jr.
If Martinelli can score double figures again this season and lead Arsenal to the Premier League title as well, then his stock will explode.
