There’s nothing more frustrating than using a new set of tupperware once, only to have it emerge from the dishwasher orange and yellow.

But a home decor expert has devised a cheap, quick and easy way to return your plastic pots back to their former glory – and all you need is a pack of Milton disinfectant tablets. .

On her TikTok HomeThirtyOne page, Grace shared a videotapes hers is trying to clean a yellowed tupperware pot.

“A trick for getting rid of yellowed utensils…” she began, before pouring boiling water from the kettle into the pot.

Once full, she dropped a Milton in and let it sit.

After the pill was completely dispersed and the stain disappeared, Grace exclaims, “Looks different!”

Once washed, tupperware will be as good as new.

And given that a pack of 28 Milton sterilized tablets costs around £1.89 – this works for just 6p each.

“So many people need this in their lives,” one person commented on the video, and Grace replied, “Game changer!”

Another commented: “Great hack!!”

“It’s cool but you can do it with tissue soap and water in it and shake it, remove stains,” another commented on the video.

While another suggested: “You can also leave it in the sun for 20 minutes & the discoloration will go away!”
