Viewers of YOU Are What You Eat couldn’t help but feel nauseous after discovering some ‘bizarre food’ in a guest’s cupboard.
The popular diet show is back on our screens tonight after 15 years.
Wednesday’s episode of the show saw new host Trisha Goddard and a team of health professionals try to help insurance broker Jackie, 53, and sports instructor Adam, 37, lose weight.
Before starting, the couple had to share what they ate for a week with Trisha and Doctor Amir Khan.
Fast-food-loving Jackie has some of her favorite treats in tin form in her cupboard, and fans have gotten nauseous at the thought of eating them.
Many people took to Twitter to share their shock.
One person wrote on Twitter: “Both hotdog & hamburger in one can ???” with five shocked emojis.
One second said: “Bumpkin in the box!” and a sickly face.
It was later revealed that Jackie ate nine servings of takeaway fries, eight cookies with butter, a large pie, goujons, fish and sausage swaddles, curries, pizza, muffins and much more in just seven days.
Trisha explained that she consumed four times the recommended limit for sugar and nearly twice as much for salt.
Leeds boy Adam confesses that he switched to comfort dining after moving back to England two years before splitting with his partner.
Cricket coaches love takeaways and have consumed large amounts of them in a week.
Adam is sipping a special curry for two, a cheese pizza for two, chicken satay and dip, sweet and sour chicken for two, and more.
After receiving help from Trisha, Dr Khan, Professor Lindsay Hall and nutritionist Kate Llewellyn, the couple is now back on track.
In eight weeks, Adam lost a stone, a pound, seven inches from his waistline and lowered his cholesterol level by 5.1.
Jackie looks incredible after shedding just under two stone and losing 5.6% of her body fat.
You Are What You Eat was first broadcast in 2004.
It was originally presented by Gillian McKeith, and ran for three years until it was canceled in 2007.
