Xbox game of the year 2022

Game Revolution’s Xbox game of the year 2022 is a little short on first-party games and third-party console exclusives, but there are still plenty of quality titles to enjoy. From the tiny foxes taking on a land of lost legends in Tunic, to a mighty Elden Lord in The Lands Between by Elden Ring, there’s something for every taste and age. Best of all, the majority can be played through Xbox Game Pass!

10. Villain Legacy 2

Cellar Door Games took the original Rogue Legacy and expanded everything to create the sequel. Whether your sons and daughters are a vegan ranger, a color-blind archer, or a pacifist chef, each has a unique way of immersing themselves in this villain’s randomly generated world for hundreds of hours.

9. LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga

With all nine Skywalker Saga films in a single game, the sheer volume of content makes for a game bigger and better than any LEGO Star Wars predecessor. Great for kids and adults alike, the wacky humor is sure to put a smile on everyone’s face.

8. The quarry

Supermassive Games brought their brand of horror to the last day of summer camp. With bloodthirsty murderers on the hunt for the camp counselors, only the player’s decisions can save them. You can even grab friends and family and turn it into a twisted holiday game where everyone votes on decisions.

7. Slime Grower 2

Although it’s only made it to the game preview, Monomi Park has proven that their latest title will be an improvement over Slime Rancher. More free content and updates are promised in the coming months to significantly increase the game.

6. Two point campus

Building the craziest college campus ever has never been so much fun. Be it spy school, magic or robotics, nothing is conventional and there’s plenty of scope for things to go wrong, but that’s all part of the charm.

5. Tunic

The next Xbox players will probably come to The Legend of Zelda, Tunic pits a little fox against lost legends, ancient powers and ferocious monsters. The game is perfect for those who love exploring and solving puzzles, and especially for those who don’t want their hands to be held along the way.

4. Immortality

The Her Story and Telling Lies creator is back with an FMV mystery about an actress who made three unreleased films before fading into thin air. While the gameplay is similar to those games, this is Sam Barlow’s most ambitious work to date.

3. A plague story: Requiem

A Plague Tale: Innocence was an underrated gem and its sequel improves on that with a heartbreaking story that continues the adventures of Amicia and Hugo. Your struggle for survival is no longer left than welcome, which will be a boon to those fearful of floods devouring rats.

2. Repentance

Obsidian Entertainment’s highly stylized, historical narrative-driven game was a surprise hit for many people and was a roar from their previous titles. Not only does the game have unique and beautiful artwork to go along with the impressive storytelling, but it has also been praised for its historical accuracy.

1. Elden Ring

Many have attempted to become a powerful Elden Lord in the Lands Between, but while the path ahead has been extremely challenging, very few have complained about it. No one predicted how big FromSoftware’s latest Souls-like game would become, stun everyone by taking the world by storm and rightly claiming its spot as GameRevolutions Xbox Game of the Year 2022.
