LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – Delta Airlines is giving travelers more time to rebook those trips and extending their travel credits by one year to use eCredits, the airline announced.
Starting January 12, 2022, customers with eCredits on their accounts will have an extra year of flexibility to rebook flights, according to Delta.
“We want to make sure our customers have peace of mind when booking or rebooking Delta trips this year,” said Allison Ausband, Director of Customer Experience.
Delta said travelers will be able to reserve seats with e-credit through 2023 to travel anytime through 2024.
“This flagship extension provides extra time for customers to use their travel credits, so they can book with full confidence that Delta will support them even if the moments that arise beyond their control,” added Ausband.
The Atlanta-based carrier also extended the coupon period for customers vacationing at Delta.
Delta said it will take time to update passenger expiration dates in its computer system, but customers who want to book travel with credit will not be affected.
The move comes amid significant travel disruptions during the holiday season, affecting airports and airlines.
