Favorites to win the FIFA World Cup 2022

Although it’s been a long time since Brazil won the World Cup, oddsmakers believe the 2021 Copa America finalist got a favorable draw on Friday. Switzerland, Serbia and Cameroon round out Group G, where Brazil are favorites to top the group at -350 and to advance at -1400.

England were the other notable favorites to go down on Friday. They face USA, Iran and the winners of the UEFA play-offs between Wales, Scotland and Ukraine. Just like Brazil, the Three Lions are -350 to win Group B but -3000 to progress.

Of the top 6 teams on the futures board, only Spain and Germany produced downside. This was due to both being placed in the same group alongside pot three entrants Japan.

Outside the group of favorites, a few teams further down the board had notable moves resulting from Friday’s draw.

The biggest positive climbers were Croatia and Senegal, who entered Group F and Group A respectively. Oddsmakers believe Croatia will also make it through to the knockout stages as the 2018 World Cup finalists are -190 to emerge from a group that also includes Belgium, Morocco and Canada.

Denmark, who placed in Group C with France, Tunisia and a yet-to-be-determined playoff winner, also dropped six points to +2200 after the tie.

As for relegation contenders Mexico and Poland – likely contenders for second place in Group C – the odds have had to be pushed down due to uncertainty over who will rise. Likewise, Serbia experienced a major downward shift after being drawn against Brazil and Switzerland.

But none other than Qatar proved to be the biggest climbers among teams entering the draw at odds of +10,000 or better as the host country fell from +6,600 to +10,000. It ranks first in Group A alongside the Netherlands, Senegal and Ecuador. World Cup futures odds 2022: Brazil, France favored
