Work on Allegiant Sunseeker Resort is in progress

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. – Work at the Allegiant Sunseeker Resort in Charlotte County is accelerating.

The airline’s leaders expect the riverside property to open for business by this time next year.

Currently, neither the hotel tower nor the two-suite tower is complete. However, Allegiant is expected to start taking pre-orders soon.

COVID-19 halted the project for about 18 months.

Residents around Charlotte County have been waiting for the day it starts to return.

“Every time we come into contact with the beach, we will look over here and the conversation always comes down to when they will do it,” said one seasonal resident.

During a conference meeting in October, company leadership expected the project to be completed in the first quarter of 2023.

While your accommodation is more than a year away, you can already see room rates online. Hotel rooms with king beds start at $199 a night. Three-bedroom suites can run you over $800 per night.

Allegiant will hold their next meeting on February 2nd. Count on NBC2 to keep you updated if they share any developments on the Sunseeker project.
