Woman stunned by huge list of rules for vacation rentals

One WOMAN was left stunned after being presented with a huge list of rules at her Airbnb – including how to use bathroom curtains and improper use of cups.

TikTok user Tiffany shared the video, which has been viewed more than 1.6 million times.

“My most recent Airbnb host had a few control errors,” she says in the video.

“Before you walk in, you get a huge informative guide on what to do and you have to take it off and hang it inside.

“Following is the amount of information being fed every second after that, in every possible way, in every part of the room.

“I love all the information pieces? She paints a picture of the remote and teaches you how to use each button.

“There’s even a note on how to use the vents and how to use the containers.”

Another thing she did wrong, according to the presenter, was using the wrong drinking glass.

She continued: “One of my top favorites is […] using the wrong cup to drink my water. “

Even a simple bath has its own rules.

Tiffany finished: “Another good one – you want to move the bathroom curtain from left to right? No, it has to be right to left.”

Finally she joked: “Hope I slept here correctly.”

Many were stunned by the number of rules.

One person wrote: “Wow? Maybe we shouldn’t lend our space if we’re controlling the monsters.”

Another agreed: “It was so stressful there.”

Another shared a similar experience of their own: “I left an Airbnb in Cleveland for someone like this – and got a refund. I came here to be comfortable… not feeling like myself. is being watched.”

Some people think some rules are useful.

One woman wrote: “Ok, clear above all, but I would appreciate clear instructions on how to use things like remotes.”

Another said: “This really gives me comfort. I always feel like I’m not doing anything right so I appreciate some guidance.”

Another added: “I promise they do it because they’ve preoccupied with all those questions before.”

Tiffany then told everyone to “take it easy” and added: “This is meant to be amusing, I’m not upset, I’m not slandering her and not harming her! Please!”

Earlier this year, a mother-of-two on holiday in the UK split opinions after she was given a bad review on Airbnb for use the owner’s Netflix account.

And another woman was stunned by an “inappropriate” Airbnb request – ask her to water the flowers twice a day.
