RALEIGH, NC (WNCN) — A woman is the second person to be arrested after a deadly shooting killed one person at the Lakes Apartment Complex Tuesday night, police said.

Deja Mone Simmons, 26, was charged Thursday afternoon with the murder of 22-year-old Geovanni Emilio Valerio, the Raleigh Police Department said.

Officers originally charged Rodney Vaughn Stotts Jr., 27, with murder Wednesday after investigators and a homicide squad stayed at the complex and the 6600 Lakes Drive block through Tuesday and Wednesday.
