Woman, 1-year-old boy hospitalized after Bronx fire

A woman and a young boy were taken to hospital Friday morning after a fire broke out in the Bronx, officials said.
The fire broke out around 6:15 a.m. at a two-story home on Tinton Avenue near E. 169th Street in Morrisania, according to the FDNY.
Firefighters rescued the 1-year-old boy and 24-year-old woman. Both suffered smoke inhalation and were taken to Lincoln Hospital, police said. They were expected to survive.
A fire department spokesman said three others were injured and hospitalized. Her condition was not immediately known.
The cause of the fire was determined.
