ONLOOKERS was “traumatized” after seeing blood and a body on the sidewalk after a former Miss America appeared to have jumped to her death.

Police believe that the former beauty queen, who lives on the ninth floor, jump to her death.

Witnesses Scott Erik, 41, and Miles Bartelle, 30, walked past the building during a morning coffee run after Kryst plummeted.

Speaking to The Sun US outside the apartment building on Monday, Erik said: “I just saw bodies and blood… I didn’t realize it was it. [Kyrst] unit I watched the news when I got home.

“I was here on 9/11 so I witnessed some pretty traumatic things… and this was horrible.

“I said, ‘Oh s**t’ and unfortunately because another guy was in 43rd place [Street] between eighth and ninth [Avenue] just danced like two weeks ago. “

LEFT WITNESS

Erik said he chose not to “stay” long in the area out of respect for the victim but said the tragic news of Kyst’s death is proof that you “never know what’s going on behind closed doors.”

“Even if people seem strong or good they might not… that could be a front,” he added. “This is a city that is really easy to get lost in… Check with your people.”

A local store owner – who wished to remain anonymous – told The Sun how he was working behind the counter when a customer ran inside to tell him someone had fallen from a nearby building. .

He ran outside and found the lifeless body of a woman lying on the street, a short distance from the sidewalk, surrounded by police and sirens.

“It was crazy and very sad,” he said. “I’ve never seen anything like it… I can’t believe it.”

On Monday morning, a single bouquet of flowers lay outside the entrance to the Orion building. A second bouquet of flowers is seen being carried inside.

A handful of local residents also visited the building, stopping briefly to pay their respects.

SUICIDE SUCCESSFULLY

The NYPD is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding Kryst’s death.

It is believed that Kryst was alone when she jumped from the rooftop on the 29th floor of the building.

Kryst is said to have written that she “wants to leave everything behind” for her mother, although the letter is said to have not included a motive for her actions.

PAYING FINAL POST

Hours before her death, Kryst uploaded a cold post on Instagram her caption: “May this day bring you rest and serenity.”

Dozens of tributes poured in when news of her death broke.

American actress and Miss America 2015 Olivia Jordan said: “Rest in peace, sisters. The world will miss you and the light you shined bright. “

Last year, Kryst wrote a Heartbreaking essay about turning 30.

She discussed her struggles with old age, her work ethic, and finding her purpose.

In her essay, she wrote: “Being 30 is like a chilling reminder that I don’t have time to take matters seriously in the eyes of society – and that’s infuriating.”

Kryst also practices law in both North side and South Carolina, the focus is on civil litigation.

She founded the fashion blog White Collar Glam, which focuses on helping women dress professionally for work.

In 2019, she was crowned Miss North Carolina and represented the United States at the Miss Universe pageant in December of that year.
