Will the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 beta be extended?

Neither developer Infinity Ward nor publisher Activision have announced that the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 beta will be extended beyond the announced times and dates, despite technical issues for PC and Xbox players. This means the beta will end on September 26th at 10:00am PDT / 1:00pm EDT / 6:00pm BST when the servers close. The next time players can get their hands on the game’s multiplayer modes is for now when it launches on October 28th on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC via Steam and Battle.net.

Those who participated in the beta may not be surprised that their progress will not carry over to the full game upon release. However, beta players had a chance to earn exclusive rewards that carry over to the full game based on the level they achieved while playing. Did you manage to get any of these rewards?

While the game isn’t scheduled to release until October 28, those who pre-order Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 digitally will have early access to the game’s campaign starting October 20.
