Why ‘Thor’ star Chris Hemsworth changed his diet for a sexy scene with Natalie Portman

Everyone’s talking about the meat of Chris Hemsworth.

The super-fit actor has previously shared the intense exercise and eating schedules that keep him in god-like shape, including a 4,500-calorie-a-day diet.

But the seemingly considerate co-star changed his high-protein regime for just one day to accommodate his on-screen love interest, Natalie Portman, an almost lifelong vegetarian.

The actress, who reprises her role as Jane Foster in new ‘Thor: Love and Thunder,’ recently revealed that 38-year-old Hemsworth cut his regular meat intake out of consideration for her vegan diet before the couple filmed a kissing scene.

“The day we had a kissing scene, he didn’t eat meat that morning because I’m vegan,” Portman, 41, said during an interview with British radio station Capital FM. “He eats meat like every half hour. That was so thoughtful.”

A meatless mouth is not her requirement, she added. “He was just thinking,” the Black Swan star said. “He’s just a very nice person.”

But according to “Thor” actress Tessa Thompson, 38, Hemsworth may not have been feeling so good after missing out on his meaty franchise as demigods and superhero cohort Valkyrie.

Meanwhile, Hemsworth shows off his own beefy physique in the new film when he “accidentally” gets undressed in a hilarious scene by Russell Crowe. He previously joked that Crowe also tried to make him feel comfortable while filming a nude scene – by appearing in the buff himself.

“He does a great thing when he’s also naked from the waist down,” he explained, implying that Crowe’s naked body was just outside the camera lens. “It made me feel good,” Hemsworth joked.

Thor 4 director Taika Waititi supported her in a recent interview with the Marvel star on Australian TV, in which Hemsworth also revealed he wore “just one sock” as a “modest piece of clothing” on set.

“On the set we have an agreement. I was naked too,” Waititi quipped.
