Why Jennifer Lopez’s Social Media Accounts Suddenly Goed Dark

It’s a mystery in the making.

Jennifer Lopez stunned her fans Tuesday when her social media posts were deleted and her accounts seemingly went dark.

The 53-year-old singer’s profile picture on Instagram – where she has 226million followers – was replaced with a black circle and her feed was completely deleted on Tuesday night.

Their Facebook, TikTok, and Twitter accounts have also changed Featured image black. However, the Maid in Manhattan star’s posts on these platforms have not been deleted.

According to Deadline, the deletion could possibly be a hint from Lopez to a new project.

It was reported last year that Lopez signed a multi-year first-look deal with Netflix. As she is also the CEO of her production company, Nuyorican Productions, she will produce both scripted and unscripted film and TV content for the streaming service.

Benny Medina, who co-founded Nuyorican with Lopez, and Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas, the company’s President, will co-produce the Netflix projects with the Bronx-based company.

The “Ain’t It Funny” singer was also recently on the cover of Vogue’s December issue, opening up about her marriage to longtime love Ben Affleck.

“We were so young at the time and so in love, really carefree, no kids, no ties. And we just lived our lives, happy and out there. It didn’t feel like we had to hide from anyone or be really discreet,” the ‘Marry Me’ actress explained to the fashion bible.

The two first met on the set of Gigli in 2001 and began dating the following year. However, they separated in 2004 after calling off their engagement due to the intense media scrutiny they had endured.

Lopez and the 50-year-old Oscar winner rekindled their love in 2021 and got married last summer.

“We just lived out loud, and it turns out it really bit us,” she said. “There was a lot underneath the surface, people who didn’t want us to be together, people who thought I wasn’t the right person for him.”
