Why did Eminem use his knee in the first half of the Super Cup?

Kneeling to the ground, head bowed solemnly, the rapper held the pose for about 50 seconds before Snoop Dogg’s performance began.

However, it remains unclear whether the gesture – which has become a symbol of protest against racism and discrimination – was a planned part of the show or a spontaneous decision.

In the past, the rapper has openly used his music background to fight racial justice, despite accusations that some of his content is squishy.

In 2020, Eminem collaborated with Kid Cudi on the track ‘The Adventures of Moon Man & Slim Shady’, which provides commentary on social injustice.

The song is four and a half minutes long especially as a reference George Floyd and Ahmaud Arbery, the killer who fueled worldwide protests against racism and police brutality.

Halfway through the live performance, reports emerged that the NFL and the event’s organizers had asked the rapper to avoid performing the move.

It comes amid other reports that Eminem and his colleagues have been heavily censored when making any political statements.

Follow New York PostDre felt “disgusted by censorship” by moderators who didn’t want the performance to become “a moment of divisive culture war”.

The NFL also reportedly expressed their displeasure over the lyrics in “Still Dre” that refer to “don’t love the police”.

However, an NFL spokesman belatedly denied the allegations – describing the reports as “false”.

Brian McCarthy tells Fox News: “We watched all the elements of the show in multiple rehearsals this week and knew Eminem would do it.”

Who performed on the Super Bowl halftime show?

Dr. Dre, Kendrick Lamar, Snoop Doggand Mary J. Blige was one of the performers on stage at the Super Bowl halftime show on February 13, 2022.

The annual showcase event also features a surprise appearance by 50 Cent with the show was shot upside down.

Prior to the event, California native Dr. Dre described what the experience was like during a life event.

“This will introduce the next story in my career,” said the 56-year-old.

“The opportunity to perform at the Super Bowl LVI halftime show, and do it in my own backyard, will be one of the greatest thrills of my career.”

In 2021, The Weeknd performs for half the show’s duration.
