The death at age 24 of Mary-Brian Clarke, girlfriend of the late model Jeremy Ruehlemann, has saddened the industry.
The heartbreaking news was confirmed in an obituary from her family. She died on March 21 and the statement says she passed away “unexpectedly” at the age of 24.
A mass funeral will be held in Houston on Friday, March 31, followed by a reception for people who wish to meet their families and offer their condolences.

Who Was Mary Brian Clarke?
Mary was a model who was born on May 21, 1998. According to the obituary released by her family, she made bold moves in the fashion industry.
She attended St. Gregory and TK Gorman Catholic Schools in Tyler and later attended Memorial High School in Houston. In her free time, she enjoyed playing tennis.
Her family added that she “became a talented influence in the fashion industry,” collaborating with the likes of TIBI, Elizabeth Bensinger and MadHappy.
She was also an avid Instagram user who had built a loyal following of over 4,500 followers.
Her family said she died “unexpectedly”.
In the obituary, her family wrote, “Angels in heaven will surely benefit from her sense of style and fashion” after announcing Mary’s sudden death.
“Arriving at the gates of heaven with one of many unique sunglasses, more rings than your fingers could hold, and either a furry jacket or hat and a unique pair of trendy sneakers and that great smile was a magnet for everyone,” they continued away.
“Mary-Brian will always be remembered for her infectious laugh, witty sense of humor and unique ability to connect with others,” her family added. “She was a light to all who knew her, which came from her belief in the welfare of others.”
Mary is survived by parents Resa and Brian Clarke and siblings Abby, Hanna and Jack.
Her boyfriend Jeremy died in January
The devastating news comes after her boyfriend and fellow model Jeremy passed away in January this year at the age of 27.
During his modeling career, he took part in high-profile photo shoots and traveled all over the world. He has been represented by talent agencies Soul NYC, Core Hamburg, Next Models, IMM Brussels and The Mgmt Sydney.
His personal Instagram account revealed that he had worked with several big brands including Super Dry, Ralph Lauren and Zara.
Jeremy was a close friend of American fashion designer Christian Siriano and they often worked together on various modeling projects.
