Who is the mushroom in The Masked Singer UK? The latest clues and hints

Masked singer is making it to the semi-finals – and viewers are still trying to figure out who Mushroom is.

Mushroom was the first contestant to perform on New Year’s Day’s opening show, in which she treated fans to a rendition of Björk’s tune “It’s Oh So Quiet.”

In his VT, Mushroom speaks with a northern English accent and offers suggestions about taking the job seriously and enjoying trying new things while also holding it in hand.

However, when she sang, she displayed a strong Irish accent, leading both the audience and judge Davina McCall to believe that Mushroom must be from Ireland.

Some names are mentioned regularly by home audiences, including comedian Aisling Bea.

Many argue that Mushrooms may be one of the Derry Girlswhile some say they think it’s actually Siobhán McSweeney, who plays Sister Michael, behind the mask.

“Watching last night Masked singer… Early prediction, Mushroom could be Siobhan McSweeny,” wrote one Twitter user.

However, some viewers speculated that it was actually Pauline McLynn, who is best known for playing Mrs. Doyle in Father Ted.

“Just caught up with @MaskedSingerUK Mushroom- Pauline McLynn. If yes, a nice belt,” one person read on the tweet.

On last Saturday’s episode (January 8), Mushroom sang Stockard Channing’s “There Are Worse Things I Could Do” from the series Grease.

However, her identity remains a mystery. She said the judges needed to “get up earlier and dig deeper if they wanted to get rid of me”. She added: “I am so lucky to be able to leave my woods and plant my own in interesting places away from home.”

Ora thinks Mushroom sounds less Irish than before, so she guesses Saturday star Rochelle Humes. McCall thinks about singer Jane McDonald, while Gilligan gets “Yorkshire vibes” from the voice and finds actors Kym Marsh and Ross guess Absolutely amazing star Joanna Lumley.

When all the remaining contestants sang together for the first time on Saturday (January 22), Mushroom revealed some more clues. When reviewing the presentation and watching the season go by, Mushroom also said she has a passion to learn and learn.
