If you’ve always wanted to sing along to “Sweet Home Alabama” and “La Grange” on the same night, you’re in luck next year.

From July 21 to September 17, Lynyrd Skynyrd and ZZ Top will perform in amphitheaters, pavilions and arenas as part of their 23-concert The Sharp Dressed Simple Man Tour.

On the run, both Rock and Roll Hall of Fame groups will celebrate half-century milestones.

Lynyrd’s Skynyrd’s landmark debut album Pronounced ‘Lĕh-‘Nérd ‘Skin-‘Nérd’ and ZZ Top’s Tres Hombres both turn 50 in 2023.

And while they won’t be coming to the Big Apple to commemorate the historic occasion, towards the end of the tour the duo will get close to the city that never sleeps.

Lynyrd Skynyrd and ZZ Top perform at the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, NJ on September 10th and a week later they will finish the tour on September 17th at the Freedom Mortgage Pavilion in Camden, NJ.

If you’re just as excited as we are to hear “Free Bird” live and see what ZZ Top’s beards look like now and can’t wait for ticket sales to officially start, you can join Tix for the show in your get near already today.

While the inventory at Ticketmaster isn’t available to the general public until Friday, December 16, people wanting to make sure they have tickets in advance can go ahead and buy from Vivid Seats before the seats are officially on sale.

Vivid Seats is a secondary market ticketing platform and prices may be above or below face value depending on demand.

They have a 100% buyer guarantee, saying your transaction is safe and secure and delivered before the event.

Apart from that, there is a lot more to know about the tour.

Lynyrd Skynyrd and ZZ Top as supporting acts

Before the headliners take the stage, the audience is treated to a performance by Onkel Kracker.

You may remember the Southern-flavored singer-songwriter from his early breakout hits like “Follow Me” and “Drift Away,” but it wasn’t until this year that he’s been hard at work releasing new music.

If you’re pining for Uncle Kracker or just want to hear how he sounds these days, check out his 2022 single “Smile” featuring Positive Vibrations.

Lynyrd Skynyrd and ZZ Top set list

In 2022, Lynyrd Skynyrd and ZZ Top conducted their own solo headlining tours.

Skynyrd shows typically consist of 10-15 songs and occasionally feature AC/DC covers along with all the hits they’re known for like “Tuesday’s Gone”, “Sweet Home Alabama” and of course “Free Bird”.

As for ZZ Top, expect all the classics you know and love – “Tush”, “Legs”, “La Grange” – plus some surprising covers from Billy Gibbons and co. too.
