You don’t have to be a mathematician to solve Ed Sheeran’s upcoming Mathematics Tour.

For 2023, the popular pop star has a massive 24-date stadium tour planned, bringing the good times to venues across North America from May 6 through September 23.
These include a night at Philadelphia’s Lincoln Financial Field on June 3 and back-to-back performances at East Rutherford’s MetLife Stadium on June 10 and 11.
The “Mathematics Tour,” also known as the “+ – = ÷ x Tour,” will be Sheeran’s first official US nationwide outing since his 2018 “÷” tour.

On select dates, the Ed Sheeran tour will bring Khalid, Russ, Dylan, Rosa Linn, Cat Burns and Maisie Peters.
For the uninitiated, here is a brief introduction to each artist.
Khaled is an R&B/pop singer with six Grammy nominations under his belt. He started out on SoundCloud and quickly rose to prominence after his single “Location” hit number two on the Billboard charts.
Soot, a native of New Jersey, brings hip-hop to the tour. His latest EP, 2021’s Chomp 2, was praised by Raw Side Hip Hop for its “cool moments and quality hip-hop bars.”
dylanan English singer-songwriter, has just released her debut mixtape The Greatest Thing I’ll Never Learn in October 2022. Before opening for Sheeran, she was a support act for Tate McRae and Bastille.
pink lin22, is from Armenia and represented the country at the Eurovision 2022 competition. Although she didn’t win, her song “SNAP” went viral on TikTok and now has over 300 million streams on Spotify.
cat is on fire broke through in 2022. Her single “Go” exploded into the mainstream after a 2020 release. Women In Pop called their recently released six-track EP full of “warmth, emotion, heartbreak, delicious melodies (and) beautiful harmonies.”
Maisi Peters has just released her debut studio album, You Signed Up for This, on Ed Sheeran’s Gingerbread Man Records label. Known for her soprano voice, the pop singer credits Taylor Swift and Lily Allen as major influences.
Ed Sheeran’s new album
In 2021, Ed Sheeran (=) released his fifth studio album. The record spawned the big hits “Bad Habits” and “Shivers”, the latter knocking the former off the top of the UK and Irish charts.
In its review, Rolling Stone argued that the new album signaled Sheeran’s transformation from a “sensitive superstar” to one who produces “songs with choruses destined to get cellphone-light sing-alongs in stadiums.”
Following the huge success of (=), the Game of Thrones guest star/pop icon released several singles, including collaborations with the likes of Taylor Swift on The Joker and the Queen and Elton John on Merry Christmas.
Sheeran is rumored to be releasing a sixth studio album with ten “epic music videos” in 2023, according to thenews.com.
While nothing has been confirmed, hopefully before the North American tour we’ll find out if the rumors are confirmed.
