While scouting for talent overseas, he spots unsigned, unknown star-up-to-be Bo Cruz (NBA player Juancho Hernangómez) and does everything in his power to give him a big opportunity.

Upcoming Adam Sandler Movies

Sandler never stops working.

As is usual, the prankster has a few movies in the works. Here’s what we know about each of them.

“Murder Mystery 2” (2023): The sequel to the 2019 hit, starring Jennifer Aniston, was filmed in Hawaii and Paris, France earlier this year. Although no plot details have been released, a full cast list has been released. Joining Sandler and Aniston this time are Mark Strong (“Zero Dark Thirty”), Melanie Laurent (“Inglourious Basterds”) and Jodie Turner-Smith (“Queen & Slim”).

“Astronaut” (2023): Based on the 2017 sci-fi novel Spaceman of Bohemia, the book follows the Czech Republic’s first independent astronaut. Sent on a dangerous solo mission, he leaves his wife behind and befriends a giant arachnid. No word on how closely the film follows the original plot. Rounding out the cast are Paul Dano (“The Batman”), Carey Mulligan (“Promising Young Woman”) and Isabella Rossellini (“Blue Velvet”).

“So you are not invited to my Bat Mitzvah” (TBD): Adapted from Fiona Rosembloom’s 2005 young adult text, “YASNITMBM” follows 13-year-old Stacey as she prepares for her eponymous bat mitzvah. Everything falls apart when she discovers that her best friend locks lips with her crush. His family will join Sandler; his wife Jackie and daughters Sadie and Sunny are all associated with the project.

Also, an untitled Safdie Brothers project is in the works.
