New posters for Season 2 of The Wheel of Time have given us new glimpses of some newcomers, including High Lady Suroth, Aviendha and the new actor who plays Mat.

After fans have waited almost two years since the dramatic finale, The Wheel of Time returns to Prime Video for its long-awaited second season. To add to the already huge anticipation, Amazon has released a series of posters to show off both new and returning characters.

New Mat actor joins the fray

The first of the new posters we’re looking at features Mat Cauthon and Min Farshaw.

Both characters are returning to the series, but fans will notice that Mat is being played by a new actor following the departure of Barney Harris, who has not appeared in a role since.

Mat will be played in Season 2 and beyond by Donal Finn, whose previous roles include The Witcher, Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore, and SAS Rogue Heroes.

In Season 2, Mat will embark on a journey of self-discovery while Min will demonstrate her incredible ability to see into the future.
