When Noble Morris and Jazzaree Munoz started dating three years ago, they discovered that they shared a passion for collecting Funko Pop! data.

Morris, 26, and Munoz, 22, both from Victorville, have spent some of their first dates enjoying boba bubble tea drinks and watching over four-inch-tall cartoon-like figurines, modeled after TV, film and comic characters, musicians, sports icons and historical figures, in stores throughout Southern California.

This approach is different from when the store reopened in November 2019 and the customer dug up boxes of parts themselves to assemble the figures. “When COVID hit, we had to find a safe way for people to stay Pop! Ryan said during a recent store visit. “We came up with the idea to do it like on an iPad and an app-based program and that’s what we created here. It worked, but we’re still learning about people’s preferences and what they want and how we can improve this. Over the past year, we’ve updated this three or four times to be more comprehensive.”
