What happened to Mashup Nicole?

Nicole was in a car accident. The news was confirmed in a post on the official Instagram for The Morning Mashup.

“We’ve rewritten that a hundred times, but there’s no easy way to put it,” the post reads. “Nicole was seriously injured earlier in the week after being hit by a car on her scooter. She is in the hospital with broken bones and a bruised ego and will need time to heal before returning to the Morning Mash Up.”

“Meanwhile, Ryan and Stan will be back live on Monday to hold the fort until Nicole can come back. Make sure you reach out to Nicole on her social media, we know she’d love to hear from everyone while she recovers. Love from the Hits 1 family.”

She’s feeling better

After the announcement, people were quick to send their well wishes to Nicole. Her manager soon confirmed that she was doing much better.

She confirmed that Nicole has received all the messages sent by the fans and that she is fine.

“Let this be another reminder of how precious our lives and those around us are and the importance of taking care of the real ones that are [there] front and center through thick and thin,” she further noted.

A look at her career

Although Nicole had a successful career in radio, it was never her intention to take on that role. In fact, she studied psychology at Ithaca College and decided to move to New York City to make it big in entertainment industry marketing.

She took a temporary job as a receptionist at Sirius Satellite Radio and became one of the go-to people for producers who needed voiceovers.

This also opened the doors for her to several appearances on different shows. Nicole soon found her love for radio shows and made it her full-time career.
