West Ham have flopped with a £55m-day transfer offer for Kalvin Phillips with Leeds desperate to keep the star man

WEST HAM made a final bid for Leeds and England star Kalvin Phillips on the deadline day.
Hammer Negotiator Karren Brady has contacted former ally Angus Kinnear at Elland Road, ready to raise their record £50m offer.
The Londoners are prepared to spend £55m on the midfield they want to partner with team-mate Declan Rice.

“I said in the summer that I think Declan Rice is worth £100m. It’s your chance to get him for cheap. You can make up your mind on what I am talking about now.
“I feel his commitment. He has a contract and we are really pleased to have him. He’s definitely been here for a few years.
“He’s like a special edition Declan Rice, there aren’t many like him.
“He is said to play as well as any midfielder in European football, and the price is very expensive in January, isn’t he?”
