It’s official: the cherry blossoms in the Tidal Basin are now in full bloom. The National Park Service has announced that at least 70 percent of the buds on the cherry trees have begun to bloom on Monday.

This year’s festival marks the 110th anniversary of the Tokyo Mayor’s gift of Yoshino cherry blossoms to the district. The festival features music, food and a parade on Saturday April 9th at 10am
