Glastonbury 2022 has finally begun, the legendary music festival opening its doors after two years of pandemic-related cancellations.
On Friday, Gen-Z pop star Billie Eilish became the festival’s youngest headliner. Sir Paul McCartney and Kendrick Lamar headline the weekend, while hundreds of other acts line the festival’s many stages.
Weather experts will provide regular updates on the current forecast for Worthy Farm (or more specifically, the nearest village of Pilton) throughout the five-day event.
Below is an overview of the forecast weather during the Glastonbury period battery weather.
Wednesday June 22nd was mostly sunny and “gorgeous”, with temperatures up to 27 degrees.
Thursday 23 June was mostly pleasant, with an afternoon thunderstorm and temperatures up to 25 degrees. The Met Office had issued a yellow warning for thunderstorms.
On Friday June 24th the overcast sky turned to scattered showers. The Met Office reported a high of 20 degrees, which dropped to a low of 8 degrees overnight.
Saturday June 25th will be windy and cloudy with rain showers and a few thunderstorms. The temperature will be around 17 degrees.
Sunday June 26th It will be cloudy with some showers and temperatures up to 18 degrees. The wind should decrease as the day progresses.
