We didn’t have enough space for a separate nursery for our son, so we made him a room in our bedroom… for less than £250

THEY didn’t have enough space in their house for a separate nursery for their son and couldn’t afford to move to a bigger apartment.
So a DIY-loving father had the brilliant idea of creating a “room within a room” for his little boy.
“Check out the DIY nursery in our master bedroom,” he wrote to a Video of creation on the DIY Falcon TikTok page.
“We didn’t have enough rooms, so we did it this way instead. Total cost minus furniture was $320 (£243).”
Taking a closer look at the children’s room, he explained that they used room dividers as the basis for the extra room.
“A lot of people have asked about the walls of our room in our room,” he explained.

“We used two room dividers attached with hooks, a track system for the curtain – and it slides really well.
“It’s definitely not perfect, but it’s perfect for us.”
As for the trusses that the dividers are attached to, he added, “The trusses attach to the posts with super-rigid steel angles and 3-inch tie bolts.”
“The load-carrying 4×4 is on the carpet, with 4x4s stacked on top.”
The curtain track system was from Amazon and he had to cut it with a hacksaw to fit.
But the fake ivy spinning around the 4×4 proved the perfect distraction from the uneven edge of the curtain rail.
When asked why the room was set up, he explained, “We had a baby and he needed his own space.
“In addition, our room looks nicer and less cluttered, which also makes mum happy.”

“I actually love this so much,” someone commented on the video.
“This is the best idea ever! I love it so much!!!” added another person.
