We created a monster with breast augmentation surgery

I am shocked that the breast augmentation is 60.
It’s almost become a standard procedure – if you’re unhappy with your breast, you will.”take them out“.
It has undoubtedly revitalized and reshaped women’s bodies and, perhaps more importantly, their self-image.
I understand how debilitating it can be to have a body part that has tainted aspects of your life.
After enduring my breasts through puberty and childbirth, at 41 I had them reduced.
It was my best decision.

I’m not here to mock the women who have opted for larger breasts, but I do wonder if we haven’t created a monster in our quest for perfection.
I think of the many women who regret making theirs so big.
I’m thinking of the next generation of women who will carry the burden of breast perfection.
I think of all the men who assume every woman has perfectly formed perky knockers.
And I think how that often first foray into cosmetic surgery can lead some women to change everything about themselves that they don’t like.
