Watch the GoFundMe Scam Documentary ‘No Good Deed’, the story of Johnny Bobbitt, Mark D’Amico and Kate McClure

PHILADELPHIA – This is a story about the power of giving, greed and the unraveling of the community sourcing scheme driven by arrogance and incompetence.

During the 2017 holiday season, Mark D’Amico and Kate McClure started a Gofundme fundraiser to help homeless, heroin addict veteran Johnny Bobbitt.

It went viral and captured the hearts of 14,000 people worldwide and raised hundreds of thousands of dollars.

When a group of journalists and authorities start to take notice, the brazen plan falls apart.

Allegations of drug use, stolen money, lavish travel, profligate spending and the courtroom stage will soon surface.

Thieves will expose each other, both in the media and behind closed doors, and lead to secret, taped conversations:

“You’ve done everything. I didn’t participate in any of this, and I’m the loser.”

“Are you blaming me? Are you blaming me? Idiot F****** B****. You’re blaming me because an alcoholic decided to start the kids Bulls!”

No Good Deed takes you on an investigation and uncovers the lives of those involved, including the man thousands of people want to help. What is his role in the plan? Is he a real ringtone player? And where is he now?

These are some of the key moments the documentary explores through interviews and never-before-heard documentaries.
