LIVERPOOL striker Roberto Firmino missed a GLORIOUS chance in the FA Cup quarter-finals game against Nottingham Forest when he failed to convert with a mishit chip.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s quick thinking set Firmino on target as the Brazilian assessed goalkeeper Ethan Horvath.
But instead of pinning the ball either side of the Forest shot stopper, the 30-year-old tried a bold lob.
And it didn’t succeed when Horvath stifled his efforts.
Woods defender Joe Worrall, who had followed the run Diogo Jota all the way into the crate, then eliminated the hazard.
But Horvath’s save did not contribute to a famous victory for the champions’ side.
Despite a brave performance, Liverpool prevailed thanks to a Jota goal in the 78th minute.
And the Reds’ hopes of an unprecedented quadruple are still alive as they march to the semis.
