Warning date in effect Monday morning due to potential for freezing rain – CBS Baltimore


BALTIMORE (WJZ) – Today is Warning Day due to possible cold rain and drizzle this morning.
Winter weather notices in effect until 10:00 a.m. for areas of northeastern Maryland where light ice is possible.

Models show that northeast Maryland has the best potential for this freezing rain problem.
Temperatures are expected to warm above freezing by 10:00 a.m. when the threat of freezing precipitation will cease.

Clouds will persist through noon from I-95 south and east thanks to a developing low-pressure coastal area.
We will see rain later this afternoon with a chance of snow but most areas will see only rain.
We should have time to dry before temperatures drop below freezing again tonight.
