‘Wants to go as soon as possible’: Reporter claims Tottenham have suddenly set their sights on a ‘special’ attacker

Tottenham Hotspur are looking to replace Wilfried Gnonto as Everton face a huge battle for Leeds United talent.
Wilfried Gnonto is wanted by Tottenham Hotspur as Everton risk missing the Leeds United attacker.
This is acc London World reporter Rahman Osmanwho claims Tottenham are in the running for Gnonto.
Osman states that Everton remain the top contenders to sign Gnonto having shown keen interest in him this summer.
However, Tottenham are “not too far behind” and Gnonto is keen to bring about a move from Leeds as soon as possible.
Leeds are targeting around £20m for Gnonto and an offer for the Italian talent is now being considered.
Full report from London World adds that Gnonto would jump at the opportunity to move to London this summer and join Tottenham.
Tottenham and Leeds recently agreed a deal that sees defender Joe Rodon join Elland Road.
Perhaps Gnonto was discussed during those talks, with Tottenham now mulling over whether to fight for his signing against Everton.

Wilfried Gnonto an alternative to Gift Orban for Tottenham
Tottenham sold Harry Kane to Bayern Munich and lost their dream goalscorer just a few days ago.
Spurs will certainly be looking to sign an attacker but the rumors point to a versatile attacker rather than a pure centre-forward.
Nottingham Forest attacker Brennan Johnson is an option, while there are also strong links with Gent sensation Gift Orban.

Gnonto offers another option in a similar form – a young talent with pace and the versatility to play in the front lines.
The 19-year-old – formerly of Inter Milan – joined Leeds from Swiss club FC Zurich last summer.
Gnonto is a tiny talent at just 1.70m tall but caused problems for the defenders with two goals and four assists in 24 Premier League games last season.
Hailed as a “special talent” by former Leeds and Tottenham stopper Paul Robinson, Gnonto clearly has great potential and Ange Postecoglou could now try to lure him to north London.
