Walk among dinosaurs in this real-life Jurassic Retreat for $1.3 million

This place will take you back 65 million years.

A real dinosaur-themed item called “Jurassic Retreat” has hit the market for $1.3 million.

Located in Washougal, Washington near Portland, Oregon, the property is set on 5+ acres and features dinosaurs galore.

The 2,100+ square foot open beam loft consists of three bedrooms, two bathrooms and immerses you in the true spirit of the exciting film series.

As you enter the gates, five motorized, life-size dinosaurs can be seen throughout the house, and they even make their own dinosaur sounds.

Other features include a hot tub, mini jeep and more indoor movie-related decorations.

The house, newly built in 2020, was often used as a short-term rental.

“The original seller built it themselves,” Louise James, listing agent at Cascade Hasson Sotheby’s International Realty, told local broadcaster KOIN. “It was originally just a little shed in the country and then he built this really nice contemporary looking little house.”

“It’s hidden in the trees,” James added. “I always call it the forest off the Washougal River Road which is really beautiful and it’s two minutes from Dougan Falls and the swimming holes and it’s just beautiful there. People like to go there because you can hike up there. You’re definitely out in the wilderness, which is beautiful but not too far removed from reality.”

But if you don’t want to claim it permanently, there’s also an option to rent it on Airbnb for $331 a night.

“You will be greeted by a life size T-Rex, Velociraptor and Triceratops as you park on site and venture into the interior of this home!” the listing states. “If you can manage to break away from the terrain, visit Washougal River State Park or hike the local trails!”

The first science fiction film, Jurassic Park, was released in 1993.

Its 30th anniversary in the new year could be the reason some groups have already booked the property for next year.
