Wakanda’ Forever tops box office for week three

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever reigned at the box office for the third straight Friday.

According to IMDB’s Box Office Mojo, the Marvel superhero blockbuster took home over $18.2 million the day after Thanksgiving alone.

The smash hit has grossed $597 million worldwide since its debut on November 11, including $340 million in US theaters.

Disney’s computer-animated sci-fi adventure Strange World, which released Wednesday, took second place with gross sales of $5.2 million.

The Post claimed the film – which stars Dennis Quaid and Jake Gyllenhaal as a father-son team – “lives up to its title.”

In third place with a take of $2.4 million was “Devotion,” which was released on November 23.

The epic is based on the true story of the friendship between Jesse Leroy Brown, the Navy’s first black aviator, and fellow pilot Thomas J. Hudner Jr. during the Korean War.

The Menu, which was in second place last week, has fallen to fourth place with a profit of $2 million.

DC Comics’ superhero film Black Adam, available for home streaming now, followed with just over $1.2 million in sales.
