Virginia Walmart shooter kills several: report

Several people were reportedly killed after a gunman opened fire at a Walmart in Virginia.

“Multiple deaths and injuries” were reported at the Walmart store on Battlefield Boulevard, Chesapeake Police Officer Leo Kosinkski told WAVY.

Police responded to a call at 10:12 p.m. for an active gunman, Kosinkski said. A massive police presence is still at the scene and officers are still combing the building, WAVY reported.

The shooter is said to be dead, the newspaper said.

It is unclear how many victims were killed or injured in the attack.

The Chesapeake Police Department confirmed to the Post that there was a shooting at the store at 1521 Sam’s Circle, but could not provide any further information.
