Virgin River fans will have to wait even longer for the final festive episodes of season five

Virgin River season 5 has finally arrived on Netflix, but with episode 10 ending on a jaw-dropping cliffhanger, viewers are wondering when episode 11 will be released.

It is becoming increasingly common for Netflix to release its biggest series in two parts. For Virgin River fans, that’s exactly what happened with season five, as not all episodes were released at once.

After the ups and downs of the previous installment, there’s a lot more drama awaiting Mel, Jack and the people of Virgin River in the new episodes.

Surprising new relationships, a stunning breakup, a tense court case and a devastating wildfire await the remote town as the residents of Virgin River face some of the greatest challenges they have ever faced.

As always, the series focuses on Jack and Mel as they face several of their own demons and fears as they prepare for the next chapter of their lives and relationship.

How many episodes are there in season 5?

Virgin River Season 5 consists of 12 episodes.

Experienced fans of the romantic drama will note that this amount corresponds to the number of episodes in Season 4.

However, not all episodes were released at once, as Netflix continued the trend of splitting its larger series such as The Witcher, Stranger Things and The Lincoln Lawyer into two parts.

With only 10 chapters released so far, fans can look forward to two more episodes.

Virgin River Season 5 Episode 11 Release Date

Virgin River Season 5 Episodes 11 and 12 will be released on Thursday, November 30, 2023.

As fans who watched the end of Episode 10 know, there was a brief time jump in the final scene, allowing the season to transition into winter and Mel and Jack looking forward to celebrating Christmas.

Unsurprisingly, Netflix decided that it would be appropriate to release these episodes around Christmas time, which is why the season was split into two parts.

The festive episodes will be full of twists and turns as the final moments of Episode 10 featured several big reveals that could dramatically change things for Mel and the people of Virgin River.

Beyond the final two episodes of season five, Virgin River has also been renewed for a sixth season, so we won’t be saying goodbye to Mel and Jack for a while just yet.
