Although Van de Ven is now injured, he was hailed as a “machine” by teammate James Maddison and was one of the season’s new signings.

Liverpool could now turn to Goncalo Inacio
TEAMtalk’s report highlights that Liverpool still want a left-footed centre-back and have now set their sights on Sporting star Goncalo Inacio.
The Portuguese defender has reportedly been on Liverpool’s radar for over two years and is regularly scouted.
Liverpool have been monitoring Inacio at both club and international level as the Reds plot a move.
However, Inacio would seemingly cost more than Van de Ven as a £52m release clause would be required to lure him away from Sporting.
Liverpool must now consider whether to implement this clause in January or wait until the summer, as other clubs are believed to be interested in the 22-year-old.
