US ITC Begins Probing Possible Patent Infringements on Circuits, Devices | WSAU News / Talk 550 AM · 99.9 FM

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The U.S. International Trade Commission on Wednesday said it would begin an investigation into certain integrated circuits, chipsets and electronic equipment, based on a complaint filed by NXP Semiconductors NV of Taiwan and their unit in the United States.
NXP alleges that the importation of these products infringes the company’s patents and has asked the ITC to issue a restraining order halting such imports, the agency said.
The US ITC said the probe would focus on imports of Taiwan’s MediaTek Inc and its US subsidiary; Amazon; Belkin International and Linksys.
