UPDATE: Authorities confirm 1 person died in five-vehicle wreck in Oklahoma City

UPDATE: One person was killed in a collision with five vehicles near Airport and South Council Roads in Oklahoma City on Tuesday.
The accident happened around 5pm
An official with the Oklahoma City Police Department said Tuesday night that one of the people involved in the collision died of his injuries.
Two others were taken to the hospital. Their injuries were not life-threatening, the official said.
Traffic east of Airport Road was halted to allow emergency responders to arrive at the scene. Traffic was reopened after about 1 hour and 10 minutes.

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) – First responders were at the scene of a multi-vehicle crash west of Oklahoma City on Tuesday night.
Authorities were called to the scene near Airport Rd. and S. Council Rd. around 5 p.m. Tuesday.
Eastbound traffic on Airport Rd. was discontinued while responders worked on the scene.
Scanner traffic indicates this could be a fatal incident.
