UK weather forecast LIVE: Met Office warns as SEVERE fog blankets UK causing travel chaos & DID flights

THE Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for fog, tonight and they will cover parts of central and southern England until tomorrow morning.

The warning is in place for the western Midlands, south-west England as well as London and south-east England and will last until 11am tomorrow.

The Met Office warned that much of the UK was covered in “thick” fog, which reduced visibility to less than 100 metres.

In the wake of the warning, the Met Office has advised people to expect slower journey times – with the potential for delays for bus and train services, and flight delays or cancellations.

The Met Office has also said that ‘there are also areas of low cloud affecting parts of the UK’ this morning.
