UFC superstar Israel Adesanya has revealed his “jaw hit the floor” when he found out about his net worth.
The dominant middleweight champion has become one of the highest earning players in recent years thanks to his exploits both inside and outside the promotion ufc Octagon.
Despite raking in hundreds of thousands of pounds from each of his fights, Adesanya, 32, has paid little heed to his growing wealth – the full extent of which was revealed to him by his father last Christmas.
At a performance on Hotboxing with Mike TysonThe Last Stylebender said: “I love to study, that’s where my pops come in.
“Just went home for Christmas, my pop is that the guy behind the scenes is helping me grow my money and make my money work for me.
“He sat me down and told me how much I was worth and my jaw hit the floor.

“I thought, ‘Yes, really?’ and he was like ‘yes’, I was like ‘we could have stopped this ages ago if it was just about the money’, but to me it’s not just about the money.
“I’m young, I’m fresh, I’m hungry and I want to fuck these moms while I can.
“Money will come, money will always come. I don’t fight for money. In the UFC, [everyone you fight] is a killer, he’s a guy who can hit you.”
Adesanya’s motivation to compete in the cage is no longer driven by financial security.

“It’s not about money. I love money, don’t get me wrong. I’m doing this for the money, but it’s not about the money.
“This is about legacy, this is about martial arts, this is about learning. I didn’t lose this step, I’m still hungry.”
