Ubisoft servers will be closed soon: Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry and more

Ubisoft has announced multiple server closures for several of its legacy games, including previous installments in the Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry, and Splinter Cell franchises. The list of servers that must be closed concerns PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii U and even a VR title that will be closed completely because it does not have offline modes.

Finally, there are a few exceptions that will also be affected by the server closures. All multiplayer modes will no longer be available in Ghost Recon: Future Soldier on Xbox 360 and PS3. According to Ubisoft, in order to be able to play the campaign in single-player mode, you must put your console in offline mode. This will also discontinue many achievements and trophies. The last game is Space Junkies. As this is a purely multiplayer title on PC via HTC Vive and Oculus, this game will no longer be playable from September 1st.
