Two people injured in South Loop and Cullen shooting after minor accident in club parking lot

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — A car accident in a parking lot at a southwest Houston club resulted in serious shooting between two cars Sunday morning, according to police.

The shooting took place at 3:05 a.m. at 610 South Loop in Cullen. Officers responded to the scene after receiving multiple calls about a shooting.

According to HPD, a driver in a black Chevy Monte Carlo and a driver in a white Pontiac Grand Prix are involved in a minor accident in a southwest Houston parking lot. The drivers both discussed paying the damage and followed each other to a bank, police said.

According to police, the driver of the Chevy then attempted to escape, sparking an altercation.

Witnesses at the scene said the driver of the Pontiac got out of the car and started shooting. The two occupants of the Chevy also got out, and multiple shots were exchanged, according to police.

The driver of the Pontiac was taken to the hospital after being hit in the head. The Pontiac’s passenger was not shot, but may have been injured by shrapnel.

According to police, several people were involved in the shooting. The people in the Chevy ran away from the scene, abandoned the vehicle and were not caught.
