Two MTA employees attacked at Times Square subway station

Two MTA employees – a man and a woman – were attacked by a maniac at a Times Square subway station on Sunday morning, police officers said.

A ticket clerk was walking inside the A/C/E station at West 43rd Street and Eighth Avenue when she was punched in the face around 2 a.m., police officers said.

The 33-year-old’s colleague, a 47-year-old tax officer, then came to her aid and attacked the man. Both held the attacker down until police arrived, police said.

The 35-year-old suspect has been arrested. He was not immediately identified.

The woman, who was hit in the face, received medical treatment at the scene and her colleague was taken to Mt Sinai Hospital for treatment of a bruised leg, police said. Two MTA employees attacked at Times Square subway station
